Father's words of blessing. The Young Warrior Pendant is given with a Card from you, which includes the "Text of Love," "Text of Blessing," and "Symbolism of the Pendant." (click links on left) You are encouraged to add your own personal words in a separate letter to your son.

We want young men to be believed in, truly seen, and honored by their father or a father-figure. Young men need to be commissioned by their fathers for the battles ahead. Ultimately, as part of the mission of the Band of Brothers, we want young men to be instilled with a desire to follow Christ our King - no matter the cost. And we want these young warriors to live out the noble and glorious purpose for which they were created and to receive the eternal rewards God has for them.

| Band of Brothers Ring for older sons. We believe that this Young Warrior's Pendant is a better gift than a Band of Brothers' Ring for a 10-16 year-old young man's Rite of Passage because (1) young men of these ages will have different ring sizes by the time they reach 18-22; and (2) most young men from ages 10-16 may not yet have enough life experience to understand the challenge of what it means to follow Christ - no matter the cost (which is an important part of the symbolism of the Ring). However, there comes a time in a young man's life when a son becomes more of a peer with his father - a brother in Christ - and a comrade in the battle. And it is important for a father to recognize this additional "rite of passage." Once a son is older and has lived more life, a Band of Brothers Ring would be a very appropriate, powerful, and meaningful gift for your son.
