This struck me as I woke this morning. I pulled out my bible in hopes of gazing into the mirror and seeing more clearly the true reflection, the true me. My wife and I wrestled last night and navigated through the combination of new and old "stuff". Being known by another person....truly known, does provide a sweet safety of an Ally and equally so, someone who knows the bare bone truth about you.
"What would have become of me had I not believed that I would see the Lord's goodness in the land of the living!" Yeah, what if I had given up hope long ago? What would have become of me? "...be brave and of good courage and let your heart be stout and enduring." The life that you want and have hoped for is available to us now.
You see we are not the only chaps who have wondered if it is all worth waiting, hoping and fighting for. Some guy named King David pondered this same question. "Yes, wait for and hope for and expect the Lord."
